About

The first call wins the job

PermitStack turns San Francisco and Oakland public permit data into a head start — so trade contractors reach commercial projects before the competition even knows they exist.

Every commercial build-out, tenant improvement, and conversion in San Francisco and Oakland leaves a paper trail: a permit filed with the city, a business license pulled, an inspection scheduled. That information is public — but it's scattered across separate government systems, buried in raw records, and effectively invisible until a project is already underway and the work has been bid.

We built PermitStack so the plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, and general contractors doing that work don't have to lose jobs to whoever happened to hear about them first. Each night our pipeline pulls the latest filings, normalizes and cross-references them by address, and scores every lead by how likely it is to need your trade. What you see the next morning is a clean, ranked list of real commercial opportunities — typically days to weeks ahead of bid boards and directories.

San Francisco remains our deepest market, and Oakland is now live as our second metro through a dedicated Accela-based permit scraper. East Bay and Peninsula markets are next on the roadmap. The goal stays the same: give small and mid-size trade businesses the same early intelligence the largest firms pay teams to assemble by hand.

How it works

Public data in, ranked leads out

Monitor

Every night we sweep San Francisco's building, plumbing, electrical, and business-license filings plus Oakland permit activity from the city's public systems.

Match & score

We clean, deduplicate, and cross-reference records by address, then score each lead 1-10 so the largest commercial work rises to the top.
